capturing you on your most memorable days
when I found out via social media that Heidi and Matt were expecting I was secretly hoping they would hire me to capture some images once their babes arrived.
we chased the evening sunlight on Belle Isle and I got to know these two a bit while making them stair at each other for awkwardly amounts of time. so excited to capture their wedding this year!
Love me a good winter wedding and everything about this day (minus the weirdly spring-like weather) had the perfect winter essence. I need to shoot more winter weddings, especially if they are as dreamy as this day was.
I documented Vivienne’s second week of life & big brother Theo may have stole the show a bit – but I loved every part of it. A family, in their home, being completely themselves is one of the best things to document. More
They kept it simple, with just immediate family, and got married at their families church in Ann Arbor. Portraits (and a surprise first dance!) at the Z-Lot in downtown Detroit followed and of course a few drinks at The Whiskey Parlor.
The sun was at perfect golden hour for their intimate ceremony and we caught some of the last rays of light on the roof top of an abandoned building on the farm, with a killer view of the city.
it was 30 degrees and super windy but cory and heather just held each other extra close and totally rocked this mini shoot on the island.
A wedding that was classy and elegant in all aspects but no emotion and love was lost in the process. These are the weddings I live for.
"We cried when we saw the photos for the first time. Nothing will ever compare to those memories. We will cherish them always, our first precious family heirloom."
